Provider bio

Lori Horowitz received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Barcelona, Spain, and then her Master’s Degree Social Psychology (specializing in Design, Implementation, and Supervision of Social Programs and Social Policies) from the National University of Distance Learning, in Madrid, Spain. She is currently working towards her US certification as a Behavioural Analyst (BCBA).

For the past 10 years, Lori has worked with children of many different ages and backgrounds, that were having difficulties in some aspect of their life, whether social, scholastic, communicative, or behavioral. She is of the belief that by providing children, and their primary caregivers, with the correct resources and tools, they can acquire the necessary skills to overcome the obstacles that are holding them back, and use these skills when facing future challenges.

She is fluent in English, Spanish, and speaks Catalan.

Our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) department is made up of some of the fields leading experts. Our consults utilize the principles of ABA for building useful skills in individuals of all ages with a variety of learning, communication, and behavioral challenges. Skills are taught in both structured situations, such as 1-to-1 and classroom setting, as well as in more "natural" everyday situations, such as during meal time or at the grocery store. All consultants are training in clinical techniques including Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT), Naturalized Environment Training (NET), Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Verbal Behavior (VB), Augmentative & Alternative Communications (AAC), PECS and ASL, Developmental and Play Based Approaches.
