Hard to get used to new nanny

5595 in reply to 5595#1 posted Feb 8
My 2,5 y.o son is very sceptic about his new nanny. She has been with us for two weeks and Max still does not seem to be happy with her.Is that a sign that she is not right person or it is just normal and he needs more time to adjust to new situation? She seems nice and trustful but perhaps i should trust my son's jugment??/ has anyone had similar problem?

Have you ever had another nanny before? or is she the very first nanny that your son has met?

Hi  , She is our first nanny. Does it make a difference?

It could make a difference. Maybe Max is not used to being left alone with someone that he does not know, and he doesn't feel comfortable (not because the nanny is not good, but because she is a stranger). I was a babysitter for many years, and it takes a while for a child to adjust to a brand new person. It's been a while since your first post. Have things changed? or is his behavior the same?

Hi Thank you for being interested in my case... Things are much better now. It took almost two more weeks , but Max seems to be content with a thought that new person is taking care of him. As a parent a have been concerned about everything and i guess I am overreacting sometimes.
