Asking when I want to go outside

I love going outside
We have a trampoline and swings, and I can play with my doggies
If I want to go outside and play I need to ask my mommy or my daddy for permission
My mommy and daddy will be very happy if I ask for permission because that’s what big boys do
Sometimes my parents will say “yes”
When they say “yes” I can go outside and play
But sometimes my parents will say “no”
When they say “no” I need to understand
And I will try to find something else to do
Maybe I can play with my toys in my room, or the computer, or I can watch a video
My mommy and daddy will be very proud of me if I understand that sometimes I can’t go outside
