Give Your Kids A Break From HomeworkIs your child feeling burnt out when it comes to school work?

Our Expert Tip:

Keep a child motivated to work hard by providing a “light at the end of the tunnel.” Make schoolwork off-limits for one weekend day (or both, if possible).  Use the Rest Day as a deadline for whatever schoolwork needs to be accomplished.  This will teach your child to manage a work load by breaking it up into smaller amounts. The planned Rest Day will keep your children refreshed. Throughout the week talk about how you will spend this day. Ask your child what he or she would like to do once all their work for the week has been finished. Once Rest Day arrives, do not allow your child to do school work or talk about it. They will love you for encouraging this boundary.
