Julia Schietinger recently joined the Butterfly Effects team as an ABA Implementer. She graduated from the University of South Florida in 2008 with a Bachelors in Psychology. She has been volunteering with children with developmental disorders, mostly Autism, for over a year. Helping children reach their potential is her passion and she hopes to continue her education in this field.

Our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) department is made up of some of the fields leading experts. Our consults utilize the principles of ABA for building useful skills in individuals of all ages with a variety of learning, communication, and behavioral challenges. Skills are taught in both structured situations, such as 1-to-1 and classroom setting, as well as in more "natural" everyday situations, such as during meal time or at the grocery store. All consultants are training in clinical techniques including Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT), Naturalized Environment Training (NET), Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Verbal Behavior (VB), Augmentative & Alternative Communications (AAC), PECS and ASL, Developmental and Play Based Approaches.
