Ms. Marianne Klingel, MSMarianne Klingel comes to Butterfly Effects with more than 20 years experience working with children with diagnosis including Autism/Asperger's Spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, physical disabilites, and the "at-risk" population. She directed the special needs program at Clearwater Marine Aquariuum for 12 years; her specialty is incorporating nature activities into sessions to engage and reward her clients. Marianne received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida in 1986, and her Master's degree in Recreational Therapy from the University of Florida in 1991. Currently, she is enrolled in the Applied Behavior Analysis program at Florida Institute of Technology with the goal of Master's level certification in 2011.

Our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) department is made up of some of the fields leading experts. Our consults utilize the principles of ABA for building useful skills in individuals of all ages with a variety of learning, communication, and behavioral challenges. Skills are taught in both structured situations, such as 1-to-1 and classroom setting, as well as in more "natural" everyday situations, such as during meal time or at the grocery store. All consultants are training in clinical techniques including Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT), Naturalized Environment Training (NET), Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Verbal Behavior (VB), Augmentative & Alternative Communications (AAC), PECS and ASL, Developmental and Play Based Approaches.
