The Ethics of Applied Behavior Analysis - 3 CEU Credit Hrs

This 3 CEU credit hour course entitled The Ethics of Applied Behavior Analysis is intended to further the knowledge of BCBA's and BCABA's and is taken completely online. It provides information that all professionals providing behavior intervention services should have a complete and fluent understanding of in order to ensure the implementation of appropriate and ethical practices. The course provides participants with opportunities to gain knowledge and apply the knowledge gained to their individual practice through activities embedded within the training. The level of instruction is for beginning master's level degree and post-master's level as it combines knowledge and application throughout. Participants will understand the rational for demonstrating ethical behavior while implementing behavior intervention services, learn the nine core ethical principles developed for psychologists with application to the teaching of children, review the BACB Guidelines for Responsible Conduct. Participants will demonstrate a full understanding of the behavior analyst's responsibility to clients with an emphasis on maintaining confidentiality, ensuring consultation, and appropriate procedures for interrupting or terminating services.
