The SAIL Program in Fort Meyers, Florida
Temple Judea Preschool created the SAIL Program in partnership with Butterfly Effects to meet the unique needs of students with special learning and social-emotional needs. The Program provides the student with the best of both worlds. It gives them the opportunity to learn new skills and address behavioral concerns in an intense small classroom setting while maintaining exposure to daily activities in the mainstream classroom for generalization of learned skills.
The program’s structure provides an opportunity for Program staff to assess student readiness for the mainstream environment on a daily basis. Communication, social/emotional, and learning readiness skills are taught through a variety of methodologies founded in the principals of Applied Behavioral Analysis, Occupational Therapy, and Speech and Language Pathology.
